From March, usually through October, Corona Farm produces a large amount of flowers, using all organic methods, managed by Darby Greenway.
Flowers are picked daily in the early morning, and so are remarkably fresh (compared with flowers shipped in from all over the world).
Bouquets are picked and sold daily at the Food Coop on Kearny Street. Flowers are also sold in buckets during July through September to restaurants and hotels (and to individuals, sometimes for weddings, etc.).
At the Farmer's Market, large bouquets are sold in olive-oil tins for $15.
For more information, call Darby or Robert at 360-385-4911.
Conventional flowers like those found at grocery stores and florist shops come with an environmental and social price that isn't printed on the price tag.
